Help me decide..... PHOTO

OK, considering getting this for something different for summer. Basically a layered bob with a point cut bottom and then it is blunt cut. I figure my wave would be enough with mousse wouldn't have to go the curling iron route they do. You can see my pic from Monday with JUST Oscar Blandi mousse in it (fallen hard for that mousse). Aside from the bottom my hair nearly does this.

What think you? Do it as a longer lob or a cleaner shorter bob for summer?

Longer than mine but the bangs and shape are similar.

I personally love the first set - top right cut. I used to have a cut very similar and it was one of my favorites. Totally cute! I had that one picked out as a possibility for my last cut, but decided on something different. I may be biased :)

Yeah that is the one I probably most like. I just freak out a little losing my length. But OTOH it grows. And my ends, they are pretty eh. Also, the length pulls out my wave.

I like the first one. You don't cut all the way, but have a super fun and light style for summer! I bet with the way you have been styling recently that you still get good waves.

I love the first one and wish I could pull that off (sigh).

The bigger question is: in summer, do you like having the option of pulling it up off your neck?

I like going shorter in winter, actually, as I'm in and out of coats and hats all the time. It seems to be easier for me for some reason.

i love the first one, the top right. i think it will look great on you. also, it is easy to grow out, not like a pixie.
in summer if you want your hair off your neck you can wear a fabric headband, pulls the hair up and out nicely.

if you use a very thin, narrow headband it will let your hair fall over it and frame your face nicely while still pulling it up and off, if you know what i mean.

I love the shorter bob. I would have my hair like that always if I didn't need to be able to put it in a ponytail in the summer (I swim a lot.) I think it would be great with your texture! I would advise more of an inverted bob with the front slightly angled
2a/b/c, coarse, high porosity, high density, blonde highlights hiding my salt and pepper, just a lot of dang wavy hair, is what it is.

Yeah, I have a saraband that I LOVE. I was thinking this would look neat with it. Plus, I can make some fabric tubes to change out and put over it for new looks.

Here is another composite. I am also wondering if maybe that aline bob one would be a good between option from the shorter and the longer.

You could get the cut you want, but get it a little longer in the front so you are still able to pull it back if you want. If pulling it back isn't an issue, then just ignore me :) Mine is super short in back, but the front allows me to still put it in a ponytail, I love the versatility of that while having my hair off my neck.

Chupie I like better the one thats on the first picture on the top right...I think its a bob and when I had my hair like that my curls were 3 times curlier so I am sure its gonna be easier for you to achieve those pretty waves

Will you be happy with a lighter wave?
  • chupiechupie Posts: 5,280Registered Users Curl Connoisseur
I've got a pretty darned light wave now with the length with one big barrel curl on either side. I guess I'm a little tired of it. I get better wave about chin length. I think it would be kind of nice for summer and then by fall enough length should be back to maybe do a different cut.

This was quick half assed ruling after leaving the salon. I still have to play. I suspect it won't be too hard to do something with it anyway even in a time crunch. Here it is out of the salon before I could do any wavy styling. ImageUploadedByCurlTalk1426980331.233404.jpg

I am seriously considering copying you. Which of the photos did you base this on? I can't recall, and most seem to be side views.

I really like this cut. It looks like it would diffuse very easily. I'm still fighting with a longer layered style that's been feathering for weeks (and I hate feathering). I hope if I do follow suit, it looks as good on me as it does on you!

Honestly kind of a composite along with decision looking in the mirror for length and whether to angle. She would also stop and ask if I liked and such. We did a DRY cut, so I could see the shape come out. I came with 4 day old puffy hair, so we could tell what pattern is strongest in my hair. Point cut the ends for texture. But if you like that cut, those are good pics to have. You'll find a million, all different lengths if you go to ahn co tran on Pinterest or Instagram.

Love your new cut, especially without a headband and scrunched up a bit.
