I can only use As I Am Co-wash. Co-washing with a regular conditioner just does not work for everyone. Some wavies can't ever and always need a low poo.

I love As I Am Coconut Co-wash. So moisturizing! I have also tried using Kiss My Face Whenever conditioner for co-washing and it has worked fairly well.

As I Am is really good but the last few times i used it my hair felt tangled and dry. I did switch to Nubian Heritage (sister company to Shea Moisture) Tamanu & Hemp cowash recently. So far I've only seen it online but some Targets sell it. I might revisit as I am later.

Glycerin is pretty high so if your dews are low it might cause that. I always follow with Tresemme Perfectly unDone condish. Also maybe you need protein?

If you don't like the way a normal conditioner feels in your hair when you cowash, I would suggest getting one with a decent surfactant like Curl Junkie Daily Fix (online) or Kiss My Face Whenever Conditioner (at your local health food store. all of their conditioners are roughly the same). These both have cocamidopropyl betaine in them, which you would find in a good low poo. I prefer the KMF over the CJ.

    COLOR: henna, amla & indigo

Suave naturals cleansing conditioner works great for me as a cowash but I also shampoo with shea moisture shampoos.

I personally use aloe gel and glycerin to wash my hair. However, when I did CO wash I used Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle, and also the Kiss My Face Volumizing Conditioner (similar to Kiss My Face Whenever; both have coco betaine). Both were fairly good.

    3A/f/i
Super baby fine hair, low porosity
Shampoos: SM Fruit Fusion (mostly), Avalon lemon (to clarify). Occasional aloe vera and glycerin to wash.
Stylers: Intelligent Nutrients Perfect Hold Hairspray
Treatments: Catnip tea, IA girl's PT, Fermented Rice Water, Catnip Tea, Amla tea, Irish Moss, SS PT

I've been using Suave Rosemary Mint conditioner to cowash since the beginning. I NEVER have to wash my hair, unless I've put in some product or another that makes my hair feel gross. For me, that has been a HG for cowashing.

I'm definitely a "curly" 2c. Sometimes curly and sometimes just wavy upper layer with a ringlety under layer. My hair has been thick and coarse since birth. Strawberry blonde in color that can and does change depending on the type and amount of light.

All in all, I'm happy with my hair type but almost for sure think yours is prettier. :)

I recently re-tried DevaCurl NoPoo after having used the DevaCare version a couple of years ago. I was pleasantly surprised!! The Devacurl version is light, smells pretty nice, and did a good job of getting my fine, thin hair clean! I'm gonna reserve judgement until a few more uses, but if all goes well I will get the liter size on Amazon for a very reasonable price!

    2c/3a - fine - medium porosity & density
