I would like others opinions on figuring out what type of hair I have. I have tried everything and can't find something I like enough. Am I suppose to use sulfate free shampoos, alcohol free products? All I know is when I brush my hair when its dry it gets really puffy. My hair gets very frizzy and dry and looks all over the place. I just need help and recommendations. I heard having my type of hair you should wrap a cotton tee shirt around it while wet. My hair is very thick and I avoid blow dryers. I attached some pictures here my hair

Is your hair fine? Like a strand feels barely there? Do you chemically treat your hair at all? What products are you using? How do you dry it? Have you read the curly girl method? You are at least a 2b/c. But we need to find out your hair properties. It looks pretty dense but maybe fine?

my hair is VERY thick!! I do not dye my hair or use a blow dryer.. I don't straighten or any of that! I am actually getting ready to go to target or cvs and pick up products to start the curly girl method! I just threw away my brushes and all my hair products. I was using burts bees sulfate free conditioner and shampoo (which didn't do well for my haIr) I was using moose in my hair

Look in your target for Camille Rose. I love her products but only a few carry it on the ground. I swear by the Curl Maker for definition. Others love Shea Moisture. She is too heavy for me unless it's way down the list but people love the moisture restore poo and conditioner. You have to be careful with Carols Daughter as some has cones. I love As I Am cowash. For me it's the only co-wash that really cleans. Some hair loves Kinky Curly Coiling Custard. I find CurlMaker is similar but way less fussy but you could try it. And I'd get a gel. Probably LA Looks if they have it is your best bet. The sports extreme is the hardest. The gold mega is next. The hard part here is there is a lot of trial and error for what works. Even if you know your properties. Try to be patient. If you hate something Targer has a good return policy so keep your receipts.

Oh and I think the Jane Carter leave in conditioner spray is a really nice refresher. Her incredible Curls is quite a nice curl cream too.
