Should I Get A Pixie Cut with 3A Curls?

Hi there!
I'm new here so I don't know if I'm posting this right. But, I've been looking into getting a Pixie cut for awhile now. But, I'm worried with my type of curls (3A) if it will turn into an afro or will be too difficult to manage. What do you think? Do you think it will be too poofy like? Above is a picture of my hair now, and two pictures of the type of pixies I'd like.

It won't turn into an afro, you'll have waves most likely if you go that short.

It really depends on what you're trying to accomplish. I wore my 3A curls for convenience purposes for YEARS while my kids were growing up (I also worked full time). The first couple of years, I tried to have the styles you've shown, but the curls were constantly trying to pop up in all the wrong directions. I always had to blow it dry and use a curling iron, which took more time than I wanted it to. By the end of the day, they (the curls) would have their way, anyway! Ultimately, I wound up going short-short (clipper cut to eliminate curls) with wisps (easier to tame) to try to keep it more feminine.
