Hello everyone I have read all of the comments (you can tell I'm also one of the desperate curlies)
Hemernyn, are you saying that Deva products are full of bad ingredients or I'm wrong?
By the way I'm from Montenegro and it's the biggest struggle here. I have just ordered from strawberrynet and I hope product there aren't fake.

    Hello curly girls 😊
I’ve recently discovered CG method and I’m currently reading the book but it seems that I’ve been doing all the right stuff anyway 😃
I’m all for natural and botanical ingredients and I try to stick to the more expensive brands. A while ago I discovered Phyto. Have any of you tried them yet? I’ve used their Phytojoba shampoo and Phytojoba mask, Huile supreme, Phytokeratine Extreme Creme and their Hairdye. I’m from Belgrade, Serbia where I can get it in local Lilly but it’s much cheaper in Srbotrade pharmacy. This is the link to check their range of products https://www.metropoliten.rs/proizvodi/brand/ekskluzivna-kozmetika/phyto/page/3/ Hope this helps!
I’m not sure if all of their products are CG approved so check the ingredients! You can find them listed on Phyto US page.
    That being said  🍸 to y’all 🌹

I'm so sorry for late replay... That ingredients app that I've mentioned before finds harmful chemicals in everything, so I ditched it. 😂 I got As I am masque from iHerb, and I'm stills using KKK today as detangler and leave in. I'm still having problems with my hair not curling everywhere... It's annoying. Even if I finger coil, strands just split, leaving me with sad looking spaghetti look. So sad and disappointing. My hair hates coconut oil!!! But I did find out my hair looooves protein. I did gelatin/ AC masq today, and hair is absolutely stunning on the curly side, other side it's almost straight. Maybe the issue is in haircut. I think I've read somewhere that if strand gets cut the wrong way, it has trouble clumping...idk, it's not like we have curly specialist here, anywhere. As I mentioned in my last post, please send mails to all the biggest sellers demanding products for texture hair. I wash my hair with Alafia tumeric shampoo, I can't do cowash. Detangle with KKK, scrunch for maybe 1-4min. Rinse out, carefully so I don't disturb clumps. Than I put Alafia enhance curl cream, and DevqCurl strong hold gel. Again puls scrunch, and I plop up. After about 20 min, i diffuse, need to for volume and spirals. If I leave it air dry my curls are stretched. I could use some help in how to make all of my hair curly 😭😭😭 I'm on CG starting July 2018, and I even think my hair looks worse now than two months in CG journey.

FYI: I started using Garnier Papaya 3-in-1 mask as conditioner (recommended on Reddit, I believe) and it helps with keeping my spirals together when I use it after Lush Trichomania shampoo. I'll look for the Balea product mentioned for co-washing earlier in this thread and hope for the best. For curly hair cuts I recommend Marina at Bohemian Tribe in Split and Zagreb.

Hey girls. I'm Croatian girl in Skopje, North Macedonia. I've started my cg method about month and half ago, but I'm finding it very hard on finding the right shampoos and all the needed stuff. I did this test it says I have 3a curls and high porosity. 🤪 I started using Sukin shampoo (it's natural and I love it), Garnier Almond conditioner and L'oreal Mousse. They are all CG approved. Lots of love to all and stay safe my dears in this difficult times 🖤

Hello! Another Balkan curly here. I have 3a hair with some 2c strands. What I struggle with most is that my hair starts to curl reallyyy far away from the root (almost at the ends only). I tried everything from a short hairstyle with layers to different products. Could it be lack of protein or genetics?

Hi curlies! Its so amazing reading all of your experiences about curly hair care and struggles in the Balkans. Thanks to everyone before me (from first post in 2015 to now) for all their product tips! Only have I recently (in the past 2 months) discovered DM products (Balea and Alverde) that are silicone, sulfate, and also vegan when possible - YEAH, as if I needed to add another criteria, but it's for the love of animals! :D I've been living in Belgrade, Serbia for almost 9 years (originally from Florida), but my curly hair journey started in 2010 when I did my big chop. In that short year before my move overseas, I didn't have the chance to try CG approved american products (they were too expensive for me at the time). So it's been a real struggle for my afro curls. Is there any other mixed chicks out there? My hair is mostly 3c type coily curls, width the size of pencils, (my mom is from Serbia, my dad is African American) so I have true "afro" roots! :) As for hair cutting, I was trimming my own hair for 7 years before I had the courage to let a "white lady" (honestly, no offense!) touch my hair... Before that, I once went with my Serbian cousin to a salon while she got hair blown-out, and I asked her stylist would he know how to cut my hair. He then proceeded to run his fingers through freshly styled, 1st day hair! Needless to say I freaked out..! He then said he could watch some YouTube videos for advice. I did not go back... Thankfully, in January 2019 while I was getting a wax at a salon, I mustered up the courage and visited the hair-section and asked a stylist how would she cut/trim my hair. Her answer was perfect: "Well, I would cut it while it's dry, curl by curl"! I'm so thankful because let's be honest, cutting your own hair (unless you are naturally skilled) almost always grows-out looking odd or lop-sided. :D Whew! Ok, I think that covers it.. I'm happy to share some product tips in the future if anyone with 3b/3c/4a curls is interested! Pozdrav kovrdzice! -Love, Danica
