Who's a fan of braid outs?

Who here is a fan of braid outs for second day hair?

I tried again last night, and it came out looking absolutely gorgeous this morning! I tried when my hair was shorter, but it came out kinda wonky looking. I think braid outs are going to save me from chopping my hair off. I'm trying to grow it about 2-3 more inches to donate it, and I absolutely cannot stand having long hair! While I feel more feminine, it's just not me.

So if you like them, share a picture! If you haven't tried - do it, and share a picture!

Last night I put my hair into 4 sections. Each section I took some KC Stellar Strands and mixed with some water in my hands then applied to dry hair. I did 4 braids, and here is what I got!

I have what I call in between curls - where I wish my hair was either just pretty wavy or more curly. My pulled out slept on curls look horrible. So this gives me a nice wavy pattern that I wish I had normally. The ends are still a little wet in the picture. I wet the ends so they don't look weird.

I love braidouts, but my hair looks much more defined than the pic of braidout you are showing. Do you not add any product in your hair?

I used to do this when my hair was longer, I'll have to try at my current length to see how it turns out.

I tried this last night, with 4 braids. I spritsed each section with water and used a bit of cjcccc lite before braiding. Excuse the frizz, I might try this some time on freshly washed hair that's almost dry.

I only do it on day 2 or 3 hair. not freshly washed. Yours looks nice.

Also the size of the braids affects the amount of definition. The smaller the more def. So you could experiment and turn 4 into 8.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:

I agree on thickness of braids. I personally like the waves.

I have never tried braids. I do twists .... well just one or two twists max on wet or damp hair. I prefer fresh hair (with nothing in it) or hair with only a light amount of product (either light gel, or SM curl enhancing smoothie).
