Vatika Naturals Hot Oil Hair Mask

I found a few new brands at my local Superstore and decided to try this out. I initially thought it was an Indian product but it says made in Italy. I LOVE it so far. First of all it comes in a huge container (1kg) for about $10 CAD so I can slather on a handful without worry. I'll post a pic of the ingredients list but it advertises that it contains egg, honey, castor and marrow. It has a strong smell, especially after heating, not unpleasant but could be a turnoff for some.

After the first time I used it, under a plastic cap with heat for 30 min, my hair was shiny and bouncy even though I had worn it straight the entire week previous. It can be difficult to find good cheaper products on the ground in Canada so I am definitely going to go back and get the other available versions (black seed/garlic) to try out and will post here again when I do.

(I also got this brands coconut oil blend and although I liked that the texture was less greasy/messy I saw no difference in results from regular coconut oil)

Marrow like in bone marrow or the gourd?? LOL.

I should try to look it up once I get to visit a local indian food store. I've always wanted to but they always close so early and they don't open on Saturdays!

I originally assumed bone marrow, which would have been nice, but apparently it's the gourd (says cucurbita pepo extract on the ingredients list).

Yup! Where they have all of the "ethnic" hair care products (never understood why these are always separated in stores) there was a bunch of new products from Asia and the Vatika products. Not sure if it's going to be a regular thing or at every superstore but worth a try, you could maybe call ahead if there's more than one in your area to save yourself the trip just in case.
