Curl Enhancer- Glycerin Free

SnoWhiteSnoWhite Registered Users Posts: 91 Curl Connoisseur
I have fine 3B/C hair that's just below my shoulders and sensitive to glycerin and I'm in search for a curl enhancer. In the past I've tried CJ CIAB (a dime size) and Knott Today (pea size) and they make my hair really soft and fuzzy regardless of the products I've layered over them. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

You could give flax seed gel a try. I like it for curl enhancement and clumping power, the recipe is customizable, and so cheap! Plus, it's really hard to overdo it with FSG.

Basic recipe is 1/4 - 1/2 c flax seeds to 1-2 c water, boil and strain. Pleanty of recipes out on he web. :)
Smorgasbord of finer, porous 2a-3a; straight underlayer

    :thumbleft: collagen
 humectants outside of optimal dews, PVP, oils/butters, anything remotely comedogenic

poos: Giovanni TTT, WF365FF, Suave Clarifying
    condishes: VO5 VMT, KLS; IonEC
stylers: FSG, 4NSBCC, VolumaxMega, AIF, GFPC

Mod CG since 11/2012. My waves occasionally look best when combed out, so you can pry my combs from my cold, dead hands :laughing6:

I have tried it, but I get frizzy. Maybe it's the curl fix that I used as a leave in and should try it by itself. Do you use anything on top for extra hold? How much of the PP do you use?

the new pattern pusha that came out in october?
i don't use anything on top as i like soft curls, so this is enough for me.
i don't use curl fix so i can't say, but it's worth trying something else with it. i'd play around with it.

O/T but does anyone know any contact info for this company? I wanted to try the CJ PP but am allergic to chemical fragrance and can't tell if this product has that or not. I can't find any contact info to ask them.

How much do you use? The new formulation doesn't seem to have enough hold for the humid days, but to be fair, I haven't tried it alone without a leave in.

snowhite -- i use APPROXIMATELY (each day is a little different) a quarter-sized amount on flipped upside down hair, then flip back up and another quarter-size amount on top, then maybe another one on bottom.

I also believe the Briogeo Curl Charisma Leave in and definer (which is most definitely a curl cream) is really nice and has no glycerin. I really like it.
