Redken Curvaceous

I'm really curious about their Curvaceous shampoo and conditioner, and maybe the curling lotion. Are they any good? I came across someone on here with a similar hair type to mine that uses them and her hair looks fabulous. I've heard good things about Redken products but oh lawd, the price... And after the Devacurl disaster I'm hesitant about splurging on hair care when I don't know if it will work for me. The good thing is the Devacurl works well for my mom so she got both huge 3/4 full bottles of it for her birthday, from me :toothy10:

I rotate through the rest of my products depending on weather and etc but usually don't need them
I try not to use products tested on animals if I can help it.

I've tried the shampoo and conditioner. For me, the very strong fragrance was too overpowering. The shampoo is gentle enough- had no issues with it. I didn't care for the conditioner as much, but I've found through trial and error that I can't use silicones in cleansers or conditioners, only in styling products. Bit everyone's hair is different.

I find the shampoo is gentle enough so that I don't need any conditioner afterward. It works well for my Type 2 waves.

I have used a few shampoos that leave my hair feeling great with no need for conditioners. But I thought this was against the rules?? I may try this one...

I really disliked it. Maybe would be ok for curlies. And yeah. Big scent.

I don't find the scent overwhelming at all, and I am not a person who wears or likes perfume. I really like the shampoo, I find it very gentle and creamy feeling. The conditioner has silicones, I stopped using it after a while. I buy the big 1 litre bottles from Amazon and it works out a lot cheaper than getting the 300ml bottles.

My previous stylist used these on my hair. They're ok; I get results just as good with cheaper products.

The fragrance was way too much for me, ans the price certainly too much.

Thanks guys. I might try the shampoo but think I'll stay away from the conditioner - Silicones flatten my waves/curls.
