Hello and your opinion

Hi everyone. I have been frustrated with my hair and a google search trying to better it led me here. My hair was so straight when I was young and I wanted curls so bad, I can't believe I still have hair from all the spiral perms. lol I quit perming close to 20 years ago and just dealt with what God gave me.

Seems the older I get though, the more curl I am getting. It started copying my grandma's, when I put it up, I'd get little curls popping out along temples and neckline, and just got curlier from there. After I lost my husband, I quit cutting my hair. It's only been trimmed in the past 6 years and is now down to my rump. The ends seem to stay so dry no matter what I do but I was taught to shampoo it everyday, and after visiting here, that explains it. I don't use any heat or style stuff, just wash, condition and leave in detangler. The only other thing is I have colored it for the past 12 years but generally 2-3 times a year is all.

Now, I am going to try CG. I colored my hair yesterday, did my last wash with ugh shampoo today. The only thing I did today was wash, condition with my old stuff and put in aussie instant freeze that i had on hand. I took this pic when it was still quite wet. I think I am 2A but not sure. It curls up nicely when wet but the water and weight of the long hair seems to weigh it down and turn curls to waves. Any advice is much appreciated. I am going later for some co-wash, tresemme Naturals condition and la looks gel. Thanks and sorry for the novel. Hope to get to know you all.

Ok, after tons of reading, I think my hair is 2B, low porosity, medium width and I think medium density.

I picked up suave naturals coconut (mainly because it was the least perfumy smelling I could find, tresemme naturals nourishing moisture conditioner and la looks sports gel.

I hope I didn't post this in the wrong place and if so sorry.

Yeah 2 a/b for sure. Very regular pattern! Definitely use a leave in with that gel. It can be a little drying. Also if your hair is dry read up on coconut oil pre poo or as a deep condition. Can't wait to see more pics.

thanks, I've used coconut oil straight on it and it dries my hair, feels like hay. Low porosity. :(

Tried the stuff tonight and found I can't use Tresemme, the scent is killing me so still looking for the right rinse out or leave in. Thank you for the help. :)

Do you have a Sally's? Lots of people love Generic Value Conditioning Balm. It's kind of hard to find low scent hair stuff but you could sniff it first.
