Styles for Matured Naturals

Hello all, one of my sister's colleagues is in her mid-50's and has naturally curly hair. I'm not sure of her texture but it's probably somewhere in the type 3 category and quite thin. Could anyone recommend any styles or YouTubers that might have matured hair styles?? She is definitely not gonna want to go to bed with Bantu knots in her hair.

I'm guessing her hair is too thin for buns. However I know a lot of women use tools to add fullness to buns and updos which can usually be found in the hair aisle next to hair pins and hair ties. What about braidouts or rollersets?

Please check out these YT channels; these women are classy and have absolutely BEAUTIFUL hair to inspire anyone:

She is a mature natural who cut her locs off a couple of years ago and now has a really doable tapered cut. I regularly watch her videos because I like her personality and enjoy listening to her talk about styles she used to do back in the day (not that anyone has time to cut up a paperbag to do a twist set anymore!).

She has more videos dealing with styling naturally grey hair; great video on how to brighten the grey to a silver sheen, too.

She hosted a great mature naturals video that specifically discusses the need for mature women to be in press and ads: The Forgotten Natural - Mature Women with Natural Hair (The Forgotten Natural - Mature Women with Natural Hair - YouTube)

Now, I haven't watched her channel until today, but if she seems like a great YT to watch who doesn't do a lot of complicated styling.

Great video, in general, about being mature and natural.

The women in my family do not go grey anywhere except for their temples, so I envy how awesome the white/silver hair looks, because I probably won't have that at 60 (unless I fake it).

She doesn't feel comfortable walking around in the braids.until she does the braid out because her hair shrinks so much and they end up short. And as for rollers... don't get me started Lol. I will suggest the buns though. Thank you!!

Thank you so much for all of the suggestions! I loved all of the videos and I'm sure she will as well. She's definitely gonna love the one about styling her grey hair.

She can always do them on a weekend and sit under the dryer for them to dry completely so she doesn't have to leave the house with braids in.

True. I'll mentioned the braiding method and see if she has some form of dryer. Thank you!
