Going Blonde- a la Taren Guy

I have the fever. I HAVE to do this or I'm going to lose my mind. What I need is a good place to go to. Anyone in Tampa Bay Area have any suggestions as to where I should go???

I usually go the Dominican salons (thems mah people, yo) to get anything "special" to my hair. However, they have a tendency to do what they want and interpret what it is you tell them to do to your hair. Also, I DO NOT want my hair heat styled after and these ladies really don't understand that concept.

So, please someone recommend somewhere in the Tampa area that will LISTEN to what I want and NOT heat style my hair.

I NEED THIS TO HAPPEN SOON. I may lose what little sanity I have left.

    Welcome!

Blonde from black hair is hugely damaging, I wouldn't use any salon that is not willing to do strand tests rather than use your head as a laboratory. Ingredients that will potentially reduce damage include coconut oil (yes you bleach right over the oil), hydrolysed wheat or soy protein.

You might consider going to a curly specialist, there is a list of salons with reviews on the main NC site and on the Devachan website.

Please be careful with this process. You may wind up having to do a bc if it doesn't work out or you get tired of it.
