Hard hat dryer question

I recently got this brand new Babyliss for an AMAZING deal at a garage sale.

The problem is... I don't know exactly what to do with it.

I have hip length curls, and I can't imagine actually being able to dry my hair using this. I feel like the heat would barely go past my neck.

I'd love to cut down my drying time after the shower. Should i part in 2 sections and clip up? ANY ADVICE would be amazing.

I own a model similar to this obe, but it is not of the same brand, and some of the features on mines is different than yours. I have used it for conditioning treatments and hot oil treatments, but i have never actually used it for drying my curls. I normally let my hair airdry and if i need to go somewhere and my hair isn't fully dry, then i will take out my blowdryer to hurry up and finish drying my hair, so that i won't leave the house with my hair wet. My hair is below shoulder length, it stops at around my lower bra strap. Even though the height is adjustable, i am not sure if the heat from the dryer ve honestly reachedown that low. With yours, you you can try and see, if the heat that comes out from the hood reaches all the way down to the bottom of your hair. If not, then, i would recommend investing in a blowdryer instead. As, that's the best advice I can give you.

Well, I finid that the hair that takes longer to dry on my head is the one close to my scalp so I would think that should help significantly.

The woman who cuts my hair puts one of her capes around the hood of the dryer to direct the air flow downward somewhat. You just have to be careful to not block the vent.
