Help with hair type

My hair is fine, medium thickness, not sure about porosity. I can't decide if I'm a 2 or a 3. Thoughts?

I think you are a 2c/3a. Have you tried running your finger up/down a strand of hair or the water test? I'm not really sure how accurate those are to be honest but I think the best way is to experiment with products.
    Oh and welcome! :D

I'd say 2C :) side note: your hair looks really soft and healthy!

Porosity-wise most of the 'at home' methods (water test etc.) are quite unreliable and have been debunked. The best way to figure it out, if you're interested to, is either to have a hair analysis done or simply go by how your hair acts (does it take ages to dry? Does product tend to sit on the hair rather than absorb? etc.).

You have really nice root curl in the front, but a lot of your hair is soft curls and waves, so I'd say a 2c. So pretty!

If this is your hair in "optimal shape" then I would say a mix of 2C and 3A, I think you have both in there. If you still have not fully figured out how to handle your hair I would say you probably have at least 3A, you never really know your curl pattern until you have given it a chance to show its full potential.
