Roux Fanci-Full White Minx or Ultra White Minx

Would love to hear from anyone who has used this. What did it do to your non-grey or non-white hair when you used it? Do you have any tips for how to use it, or how often? Thanks!

I answered some of this on another post where you asked but don't know if you saw it. I don't mind answering again since you may not find anyone else who does. I use both colors of the Roux. As you can see, my new growth is coming in very white. I find the white minx keeps it stark white and the ultra white minx gives it a very slight, I mean just barely noticeable if you really look at it, purply tint. Both look good and the ultra white minx blends probably better with my dark brown dye. I use one or the other color each time I either shampoo or co wash. If I don't my white new growth looks like cotton. The Roux, either color, doesn't change the color of my dyed hair. If you have dyed blonde hair that is brassy, I understand that the Roux can tone that down. I also find that the Roux rinses help with shine and cut the frizz some.

I don't know why I never thought of trying this. When my grey was first growing in and I wanted to cover the skunk stripe I would dab Roux rinse in my dark brown hair color on the grey and it would blend in nicely. Off to order some just for fun. Looking at the color chart I think I will get one of the silver shades to try instead of the white.

i had actually bought one of the roux whites back when i was first transitioned, but i was afraid to try it, thought it might turn out too extreme. i am curious about it again. especially the silver. let us know how it goes, jeep.

Does it make your gray whiter? Brighter? How does it differ from a gray hair shampoo like jhirmack or Pantene for silver hair?

^ I can't answer the 1st part of your questions since I haven't used the white Roux yet, only the dark brown shades. But the 2nd part I do know - the shampoos for grey hair are very drying for most people, including me, and the Roux wasn't drying at all.

I never did use the Roux. Bought it but never used it.

My bottle was pink and these are blue???

Just make sure you get the RINSE and not the mousse. The mousse has been reported to stain.

Any more feedback available on the Roux? I've been thinking...

I really didn't notice any difference in my hair while using the rinse. Plus I have this fear that if I get rained on the dye will run off onto my clothes. I think I'll just keep using my red-gold corrector mixed with conditioner.

The chemical smell is overwhelming for me . I've smelled it all day!! I did brighten the grays but the smell makes it a definite will not repurchase. Also I'm afraid as jeep curly said if it rains it may get on my clothes

I've used these toners for years. They're meant to eliminate brassiness and tone the grey hair. There are several shades of toners and they also make a toning mousse which I prefer. But the mousse is more intense so you have to be careful using it, It mixes well with other curly girl mousses which can lessen the intensity. They're not expensive so it's worth it to try.
