Less products= great hair?

So tonight I showered and I was planning on straightening my hair. So I shampooed and conditioned with suave and then when I came out of the shower I put in matrix biolage conditioner for dry, damaged hair, which I always use. But instead of putting in the rest of my products I just used the tresseme keratin smooth flat iron smoothing spray to protect against heat. I then combed it through my hair and started to blow dry it. I didn't use the diffuser since I'd be straightening it anyway. So after I finished drying it I was amazed at how great my hair looked! I couldn't believe it, I usually use 4 different products in my hair when keeping it curly (I hardly straighten it). I can't believe that using hardly anything made it look good! Unless I'm just delusional and sick of constantly putting products in my hair so I think this looks good? lol Here are some pics..let me know!

This is with all the products in my hair:

and this is tonight :

It looks amazing with or without product. And I know what you mean about getting sick of putting a lot of product in your hair, I used to be a product junkie and put a lot of product in my hair, I got sick of it real fast.

It looks great in all pictures!

Maybe u can try to change ur routine a little? If ur curls can be beautiful without a ton of products u can stay with conditioner and one or two styling products?

It looks to me like your curls are a little more defined in the first picture but they have more volume in the last picture. I guess which is better is all a matter of personal preference. Both look good to me.

I don't know if you're following the CG method or not (and if you're not that is totally fine! I believe people should do whatever works for them and their hair.) but if you are just be aware that the keratin flat iron spray does have -cones (at least based on the ingredient list on drugstore.com).

    You curls are great!

I'm kind of in the product junkie phase just because I'm new to the whole CG thing, so I've been experimenting a lot BUT I'm hoping that once I find a few more HG products my hair will consistently look and feel better!

Having a simple routine is always great, even if it isn't the routine you use all the time. It's good to know how your hair will react if you choose to reduce the styling products.
