I'm not allowed to wear Bikinis and I need some advice on how to feel confident wearing a very covered tankini... Esp with my natural hair how can that be attractive... ???

I wasn't allowed to wear a Bikini until last year- I am now 20. But I honestly have no desire whatsoever to wear one. I prefer a swimming suit to actually stay on when I swim.
I bought a one shouldered navy blue and white striped one piece suit from downeastbasics.com.
It's very vintage and it's not a tankini. I am not a huge fan of tankinis, and the one shouldered look is very "elegant", if a swim suit can be elegant...

As for your hair, leave it down and big, that's what I tend I do!

Natural hair and a tankini would look great together :) I'm having a hard time thinking of a swimsuit style that some sort of hairstyle (..with the exception of obviously styled hair that shouldn't be getting wet!) wouldn't look good with though, and I'm not really coming up with anything. Natural, wavy, straight, up, down, etc. It all can work.

This one is unfortunately unavailable now but it's one of my favorites ever because it illustrates to me how elegant, to borrow from CurlyBoodle, a swimsuit can be.

Should add that even with a very covered tankini style, I can still see that look being rocked just fine with natural hair. :afro:

One of the best example I can find:

    It's cute!

I think natural hair is cute with anything, LOL.

If you are a new natural, or maybe not yet comfortable, I would suggest not focusing on the suit but maybe adding a headband or going for a ponytail

As for the suit itself, i say look for cute ones or cute coverups.

Your natural hair will be just as cute in a tankini as you would be in full clothes :-)
