How to tie back my curly hair!

I have extremely thick 3c curly hair and I need to know how to put it back for school when I have PE! Right now, I am using scrunchies because they easily hold my hair in place I just need to know more options! Does anyone know whether there are any good hair ties around that can hold my hair in place for the whole day? Please help!

I have seen from waterlily716 some 8flexi barets for half updos or full up hair but they're USA based and I can't get my hands on it which sadness me so much.

The only thing that works for me is doubling one of those goody headbands around my neck...and then slide it back over my head until my hair forms a ponytail.

This is a very non-conventional answer. If you like to do fibre-crafts, you can make a four sided cord using a lucet, which stays in place well, and the knot doesn't slip.

Banana clips are great. I only use the hard, stiff ones when my hair is straightened (no way would they get around my curly hair!). This is the stiff kind: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hEQJ8IKusSg/Tl0Nb-qt3AI/AAAAAAAABuU/WJRIx6xg-Ik/s1600/Banana+Clip+II.jpg

I use this flimsier kind on my curly hair: http://www.spabeautyschools.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/tumblr_liqf9wfiO51qiusuto1_500.jpg

The reason why is because the flimsier plastic is bendable, thus it can stretch big enough to fit around your curly hair. After continuous use my banana clip has stretched into a permanent large, round shape, a perfect fit for my hair :)
Curl Pattern: A crazy mix of 4B, 4A, and even 3B.

Normal porosity, high density, medium width strands.

    Current length: Bra strap length
    Short-term goal: Mid-back length
    Ultimate Goal: Waist length
