deva or ouidad for a haircut

going to Los Angeles in August, I have never gotten a curly hair cut.
Should I try Deva or Ouidad??

I got the deva cut & loved it. My sister got the Ouidad cut & hated it. She said the Ouidad cut left her curls stringy.

I think that depends a lot on your hair.

My hair is superfine, not thick, and extremely curly. Many years ago, I tried a Ouidad cut because I could tell I wasn't going to be happy until I did, and I figured it was better to do it early on in my journey. I hated it. It left my ends twiggy, and I had to grow all that hair out before my hair could be its best with a Devacut again, so it was fortunate that I did it while it was still short.

A friend of mine with thick, coarse, 3a hair recently had one (with my encouragement) and absolutely adores it. It's perfect for her. It does a great job of debulking, and leaves her looking like she's still got plenty of hair, while taking the weight and heat off her scalp.
