Very strange porosity behavior. HELP

I am a very new CG, I had only 3 co-washes... So far so great :toothy4:

But I'm not sure about my porosity:
- My hair is always floating when I try the float test. So it is low p
- regarding the Slip'n'Slide Test, I feel bumps along the way of the strad, this means that my cuticle is lifted and that I have high porosity.
- after the wash if I let it air dry it can take hours to get it dry, I mean more than 2 hrs. So it is high p
- I read that low porosity hates proteins, but my hair loves homemade gelatin mask (which is collagen). So it is high p
- I have lots of single strand knots in the ends, is this related??

I really could use some help please!!! :sad5:

the only way to know for sure is to get a hair analysis. Try Goosefootprints on Etsy. highly recommended. The other option is Komaza Care, but it's more expensive.
2bc/ f / ii. low porosity roots + normal-high porosity shaft where bleached. normal elasticity.

Also, regarding time to airdry we are not talking 30 minutes vs 3 hours in general, as for many of us our naked hair takes 8+ hours to dry. You might also well have different porosities in different areas. But, as said before, the only way to know for sure is to have an analysis done.
