in Going Gray
ever have a time when you come across women you knew back when and they were 'haughty, disdainful' towards you due to the differences in income level? (and i'm talking about stay-at-home moms!) then time passes and lo and behold, they are still straightening, vigorously coloring their hair to get rid of curls/waves/gray hair and it looks like straw, their faces look harsh against the unreal color of their hair? who looks good with a harsh color against your face and straw on your head?
well, i did yesterday and it was great! normal hair day for me, curly, soft, shiny, complimenting my complexion..... while no words were exchanged, none had to be, the message came across! :-) and it was in a venue where money was obvious, i was there to purchase one small basic, and what they were there for, dropping buckets of money.
i like who i am, what i am about and my kids are same, so it never made me feel bad, just something i observed and never thought about unless they were in front of me, but yesterday it made me feel GOOD! i am going with nature and came out far ahead, and the only contest is in their heads. the look on their faces as they kept glancing my way said it all.....

it's not so much what they are doing to their hair, etc., it's the fact that they (and keep in mind these are only a very small number of people, mostly everyone here is nice) judge others who do not have burberry, prada, interior decorators, etc.....
so there i was in my $99 clearance coat that i bought 8 yrs ago with 'do it yourself, let nature take its course' hair....... and in spite of their money......
