Inexpensive, unfussy routine?

I realize we all have different hair behavior wise, but I wonder if there's a rough, simplified approach to a routine for curly hair that doesn't take much obsessing and delivers basically healthy results. In other words it's not necessarily a perfect routine on an individual level, but it's a good common denominator routine.

What would be your minimum (cost and effort wise) routine for maximum results?

    1. One good conditioner without silicones
    2. One good alcohol free gel.
    3. A silk scarf

Though in reality because I've been experimenting over the past 8 months or so I have lots of different gels, oils, shampoos, conditioners, leave-ins.....

For roughly $5 you could get started with a very decent, basic routine using VO5 Herbal Essences Kiwi-Lime Squeeze Conditioner to cleanse, rinse out/detangle, and leave in; and LA Looks Sports Gel.

Very fine, high porosity, currently dyed and growing out the relaxed portions. I'm pretty sure my hair's 3b something IIRC. We will be finding out for sure as time goes by.

I'm new to this but I'd say Nature's Gate Tea Tree Sulfate Free Shampoo and Conditioner, coconut oil, and make your own flaxseed gel. The homemade flaxseed gel is the only gel I've used in my life that leaves my hair soft and not crunchy at all and it defines all the curls. You make it with water and flaxseeds and you can even re-use the seeds.
Curl Type: mix of 3B and 3C
    Porosity: Low
    Texture: Coarse (medium)
    Kinking Present

Shampoo: Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil and Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo

Conditioner: RO Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Conditioner; or sometimes Aussie Moist

    Leave-In: Giovanni Direct Leave-In
Gel: As I Am Curling Jelly

My routine has been the same for about 10 years and is simple and very inexpensive.
Suave Coconut Conditioner $1 (large bottle lasts me about a month)
LA Looks Sport Gel $2.50 (large bottle lasts a few months)
Turbie Twist terrycloth turban towel $4 (lasts for years)
pancake style diffuser (Windmere Curly Top, Conair Curl Dazzler) $25 (lasts for decades)
I occasionally add honey, vinegar, oils into the routine, none of it expensive.

cleanse: Giovanni 2chic BK&AO shampoo (the most expensive item)
condition: Cure Care or Suave Naturals Coconut or Nature's Gate Herbal
    style: flax seed gel (home-made)

    pt: IAgirl's gelatine PT
    add-on: CNPF

^I have fine, low-porosity hair. It loves protein. This would be a simple and protein-heavy routine, suitable for fine, low-po hair.
