    Well, it's a long one, TRBL. About as thick as a brick or two.

    It did win an important prize, but other than that, I don't want to give too much away. Oh, and it's set in the mid-1800s, in New Zealand. (Also available on audio book.)

    Did you check on goodreads? Sometimes that helps me clear things up in my head. The book sounds interesting to me, though. I may pick it up.

    Totally random.. but your description of it being a brick made me think of reading "The Far Pavilions" in high school. That was a long one...
