matted hair!

alright you guys,
ill be 5 months post on the 26th of march and i have some new growth.
over a couple of days (1-2) the new growth gets tangled with my relaxed ends & its so agitating.

any way to minimize or prevent this?

    Looks like you are going to have to detangle every two days or leave your hair in protective styles.

    Agree with the detangling. For you I would suggest Kinky Curly Knot Today because of how well it detangles. However, most conditioners will do this well.

    Also try using something more than just your fingers. Such as a tangle teaser or denman brush.

    When you detangle section your hair.

    Also just using a tangle teaser or denman risks breaking your hair where your natural hair meets the straightened ends.

    I would first use your fingers to detangle a section, then use a wide tooth comb, and then only and only if you feel your hair needs it use a denman or tangle teazer. In other words if you have difficulty getting the comb through then the brush will cause breakage.
