Frizzy canopy!

I recently realized that while my canopy is frizzy, the hair underneath is perfect! It's frizz free. If I could get my canopy to be the same I would be ecstatic! Would leaving my regular conditioner (as a leave in) in the canopy help this? Or oiling my hair with olive oil a few times a week?

I know this is a common problem and in my case I think it's due to my former life as a flat iron addict. :sad10: But now that I see how nice the hair is underneath I am on a mission to get my canopy to match!

Are you not using a leave in conditioner at all? If so absolutely use your rinse out conditioner as one, or simply use more if your regular leave in and styler.

For most wavies oils are better used as deep treatments, coconut oil is particularly good for damaged or overly porous hair.
2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond/ fractionated coconut oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
    Experimenting with: benign neglect

Thank you! No I'm not using a leave in actually, just an anti frizz by Giovanni. I will start using my regular conditioner as a leave in. I haven't been natural for that long (only about 3 mos) so I'm still learning what my hair likes!
