What to do with lack of volume?

Now, I have a naturally deep side part that I successfully deviated from for many years until I finally discovered that my "straight hair that gets weird and wavy after being in the humidity, rain, ocean, or any contact with water" was actually wavy. I had forgotten about my natural part up until now - a few months after starting the CG method. I had to change my part back to its natural pattern otherwise it starts to look like I have a cowlick swirl in the back of my head, haha.

My concern is that because I have a deep side part, that side gets all the volume and has slightly (though noticeable) looser waves than the other side, which ends up nearly flat and much wavier, almost curly. I'm guessing that this is because it has much less weight, though..

I've been considering investing in Devaclips for this reason, and also because my scalp has been much flatter since I started plopping. Would anybody recommend them for my "problem"?

Volume can be achieved by applying products with your head up side down and scrunching the product in. It can also help if you diffuse.

Have you tried switching your part to the other side or maybe doing a middle part?

I have started putting in my conditioner upside down, rinsing it out upside down and applying product upside down as well. It doesn't give me volume all of the time, but most of the time, it's better than before. Also, if I have to be out the door, diffusing helps give me a little more volume. If I don't diffuse, I use jaw clips to clip the roots while it is air drying.
