Fitness trainer etiquette question

So, I work out once a week with a trainer. He owns the company and has three trainers that work for him. Lately, I just don't feel challenged enough. I have discussed it with him, but things just seem to be stagnant. A few weeks back, he couldn't train me so I worked out with a new guy he recently hired. He kicked my butt! In a good way. I think his style of training is more of what I need. What is the best way to tell my current guy that I want to switch to his new guy?

I agree, i doubt he'll be offended and instead would be happy the person he hired is doing a good job. I've asked to switch trainers or just stopped if I didn't feel challenged enough.
