Butterscotch brownies!

Made these this weekend cuz I gave up chocolate for lent. These things are even more addictive than chocolate brownies 
The recipe is a mixture of a couple of recipes that I found on allrecipes.com..
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
2 tsp vanilla essence
2 eggs
Method:
Preheat oven to 350degrees (175celcius)
Mix the sugar and butter, add the eggs and vanilla essence, stir well. Add the flour and salt and mix until well blended. Spread in a greased 8x8 inch baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until the brownies start to pull away from the edge of the pan.
Delicious chewy brownies - good substitute for anyone not eating chocolate
