I loved Kelly Osbourne's grey hair. I saw this photo of Gaga, too. She looks fab. I am so crossing my fingers for a skunk stripe of grey like my mom. Stacy London (second pic) has always had this grey streak in her hair. I think it's very chic looking.

I noticed that if my boss would let hers go, she would have that fantastic swoosh.

Slightly off topic but here's a picture of one of my favorite hockey players, he's only 29 and started going grey yeeeeaarrrssss ago. I think it's so cute, though.

I looooove that stripe! I really really hope when I go grey I'll get that.
I love when people have all grey speckles everywhere aswel, looks so nice.
    And that silvery grey!
People always dye their hair though, so hardly get to see it.

Don't you wonder what it would be like if NO one dyed their hair? Ever?

I would LOVE if it became acceptable, even if it was 'trendy' for the 20s crowd. I'd say about half of my friends are surprised when I say I have grey hair since it seems to blend well with my darker hair from afar (though I'm pretty aware of it). I'd say about 1/3 of my head is grey throughout which seems to help the blending. The other 1/4 of my friends know about tease me about it from time to time while the last 1/4 remark when they find a grey strand hanging from my clothing or just get really close!

A lot of companies that prey on women's insecurities would lose business.

One of my (male) friends keeps trying to convince me to go full grey now "just like Rihanna". At first I laughed because it sounded ridiculous, but then I gave it some thought. Is it easier to embrace the grey younger than deal with it transitioning later?

I told him that it was too unhealthy to dye it, but could you imagine that upkeep? Most people dye their hair to cover the grey-I'd be coloring it to hide my brown!

I'm 29 and have been finding (and dyeing over) white hairs since about 16. I'm getting married later this year, and will probably get a few root touch-ups until the big day, but afterward, I'm tempted to start growing out. I'm tired of all the upkeep and the damage it does. I worry about it making me look too much older than I am, though. As it is now, I still get carded all the time. :)

I'm 27 and just found a couple greys recently. I'm not sure what I'll do, I suppose it depends on how much grows in grey and how quickly, but I'm tempted to leave it alone. I have this weird preoccupation with not having grey hair at my wedding though, I'm sure it's silly.

I don't think it's silly at all. I'm in the same boat. It's like the most photographed you will ever be in your life, why not look your best? Not to say that gray wouldn't look fabulous, but for both of us at this point, it's a bit of an unknown quantity. Plus, it'll let me blame all my gray hair on my husband. :D

:) Exactly. I think with me there's a psychological aversion to it as well, as in, I always pictured myself getting married while I'm at an age where my hair still has its current color. As this thread suggests though, people's hair color changes at a variety of ages, and the only reason we associate color with age is because many people dye their grey hair at first. Plus I have a habit of really hating the unknown. Lol

I too have the occasional strand, maybe 12 of them or so. They're bright silver. However, I've taken up the habit of henna/cassia/amla-ing over them. As much for the conditioning effects as anything else. I guess I also feel similar to you guys; if I was to meet someone or get married, I always had had this vision of not having any silver. But by the time that happens, I think I'll have more of them.
