How do you use pure Shea butter?

Hi! I just ordered some pure shea butter and was wondering how to use it? Is it part of the styling routine? Is it more of a condish or DT? TIA!!

I've used it as a leave-in and it works pretty good that way. Take a little bit (smaller than pea) and melt it, rub it between your hands and smooth/rake/scrunch into wet hair before product. Makes things shiny :)

Weeklyish shampoo with CO's inbetween to keep down the grease.

Thanks! How did you melt it? In the microwave?

I am guessing she's melting a small amount between her hands, like you would a pomade.

    Shea butter is thick.

You can also melt in in the microwave, add some other oils, like jojoba, and use it as a deep treatment.

Exactly, your body heat should melt it quick. It doubles as a moisturizer for your hands :)

    Tooj,

I take a very small amount of the shea butter and rub it between my hands very fast. This warms it and makes it easier to distribute. Depending on how dry my hair feels I put more or less. I usually do not go heavy on it but believe it rinses out fairly well. I usually graze the ends of my hair up to 6" where my hair is dryest. Hope this helps.
