I'm wondering what makes SM coconut shampoo a low poo? I'm trying to understand the difference between it and a cowash. Thanks
Medium texture, normal porosity, normal elasticity

Low-poo is a sulphate surfactant free shampoo. It will still be a foaming type product based on other anionic surfactants, zwitterionic (AKA amphoteric) surfactants or non ionic surfactants.

Co-washing is conditioner only washing, these use cationic surfactants and/ or fatty alcohols as the cleansing agents. Cleansing conditioners are closely related but specifically formulated and marketed as gentle cleansers.
2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond/ fractionated coconut oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
    Experimenting with: benign neglect

What's the ingredient in SM that makes it a low poo? I guess I'm just failing to see what ingredients separate it from cleansing conditioners

The glucoside is a no ionic surfactant. I don't see any cationic surfactant or fatty alcohol.

Cowashes are conditioners. Low-poos are shampoos. Cowashes are creamy/ier in consistency, usually very light conditioners. Low-poos are low-lather shampoos.

I see where you're coming from.

It's not just ingredients it's also formulation and how it behaves.

The decyl glucoside in SM poos is in high enough concentration that it makes the concoction lather enough to be considered a shampoo. Does that make sense?

Some light conditioners can lather as well (due to cationic surfactants), but the lather will be much less than a low-poo (which have gentle anionic surfactants like cocamidopropyl betaine or decyl glucoside).

Ingredients: Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG -7 Olivate, Guar Hydroxypropytrimonium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA, Hydrolyzed Oat Flour, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Matricaria Recuitita (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Yucca Leaf Extract, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Leaf Extract, Melissa Officinalis (Melissa) Leaf Extract, Polysorbate 60, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail) Leaf Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Fragrance.

Compare with the ingredients of CJ Daily Fix. There's an anionic surfactant in the top 5 (blue), 2 fatty alcohols (green), 2 cationic surfactants (red). The fatty alcohols & cationic surfactants make this product a conditioner. Notice the SM poos do not have these ingredients.
