I believe in life in some form or another. I think its silly and naive of us to think we are the only life out there. Whether it has eyes, legs, etc is another story, but i definately think at its most primal level there are at least microorganisms out there.

    I second this opinion!

    I third this opinion.

It's also very arrogant of us to think we're on the only inhabited planet in the universe. I also think there are other intelligent lifeforms in space, maybe more advanced than us, maybe not.

I totally agree. There's no way that only one planet in billions of others is habitable and has a sufficient atmosphere, or whatever. There's got to be more. Now, whether we'll find them is another issue altogether!

If I had to choose I would agree that there is some form of life somewhere, but I don't think it's impossible that we're the only ones. We don't really know how small the odds are of a planet having just the right conditions and circumstances and whatever for life, but it appears they're awfully small.

The thing is there could be some intelligent life out there and wondering the same thing, but they're so far away that we may never communicate. :(

Well, I think there is some intelligent life out there.

But I, sometimes, *HOPE* there isn´t.

IMO it's a shame how us, "intelligent" life in this tiny planet of the Universe, are still destroying each other and destroying the world in which we live, how we treat each other, how we define each other....

What would they think about us? :?

    just my feelings...

They would probably think we're not that intelligent, maybe that's why they've never tried to make contact, they just don't think we're up to it yet. They took one look at how we treat people who are different to ourselves and thought "stuff that planet, lets go somewhere else".

Yes, I believe that life could exist elsewhere in the universe, but no, I don't believe it has visited Earth.

Why would it be arrogant? It's not like we have undeniable proof. Please know that this question isn't meant to sound at all snarky.

Given the relative size of the universe, how old it is, how young we are, etc, it seems bizarre at least to my simple mind that we are it. The milky way (or maybe its just the planet earth, someone feel free to correct me) accounts for a space the size of a pinhead (or maybe its a fingernail LOL) in terms of all of outer space. Theres so much out there, so much we havent explored, and so much we probably never will. Just because we haven't found anything doesn't mean it's not out there. If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound?

Relative to how old the earth is, we have only inhabited it for a very small percentage of the time. I think its very possible that there are 'infant' planets out there working on life as we speak. Who knows?
