Your curl type will become more apparent as you treat your hair well. It's really far more important to know your hair properties. Is your hair fine, medium or coarse (that's texture)? Would you say your hair gets wet quickly and dries quickly (that's high porosity), or takes a while to get wet and a long time to dry (that's low porosity)? Does it break easily, or does it stretch and bounce back (that's elasticity)? Is your hair densely packed, or about average (I can see it isn't thin)?
Knowing those things will help you find products with the ingredients which will help your hair respond best.
In the meantime, if you haven't got the book, Curly Girl: The Handbook, also available at Amazon, I can't emphasis strongly enough how helpful it would be. You can get a lot of the information here, but you're not going to get it straight from the original curly girl's mouth, won't have the full explanations, the organization, the clear illustrations, or the great videos (on the DVD which comes with the book). There is no substitute!
Medium texture, high porosity, normal density, and high elasticity
