Organix class lawsuit???

in Hair Type 4
Anyone hear about this lawsuit because of the misleading claims of Organix claiming to be organic?
I always wondered about this product because of one of their ingredients..not to be an ingredient snob or anything *flips flatironed hair*

I don't think they "claim" to be organic, I just think the name is deceiving.
However, Nix means reject, so Organix = reject the organic? I guess it's not deceiving after you really think about it.

Yes that was what the class action lawsuit was based on deceiving people based on the name brand. The lawsuit is supposedly worth 6 million. If anyone has their receipts and want to receive compensation then I think you can sign up on the website. I'm not sure though. I was also on the Organix train because when they first came out you could get a mail-in rebate for the full amount if you purchased it. And the products smell so good. And that was also before I knew about the harmful ingredients. If anyone cares they have DMDM Hydantoin which releases formaldehyde when it's used,,,I'm not about the ingredients...but I remembered that one which is why I stopped using the brand. It is very misleading to build your brand with that name...it alludes to being a natural organic product line. At least Yes to Carrots said they were 99.8% natural hair product line. Just be honest all the way and then you won't have to deal with a lawsuit of this kind. sheesh
