My first Devacut, 8 days into CG method.

After:

Andrea was great, she used all CG products and method, let me know what my hair needed (moisture), and gave me great 2nd and 3rd day hair tips. She listened to what I wanted (more even bulk & curl, more integrated generally), and I am happy with the results.
She has a very pretty short curly 'do herself. Highly recommended!
3A, medium, normal, lots of hair!
Low poo: AO Honeysuckle Rose Shampoo
No poo: Whatever Giovanni conditioner is on sale
Rinse out: Aubrey GPB or Honeysuckle Rose conditioner
Leave in: AO White Camilla conditioner or Beautiful Curls babies & up leave-in & detangler
Gel: KCCC, LA looks sport, or Aubrey B5 design gel
2nd & 3rd day reviver: 1/3 AO White Camilla conditioner & 2/3 water mixed in a spray bottle then sprayed into my hands and scrunch-held for a few seconds

No offense but I don't see a difference. Can u feel a difference? I think this is why I hated my devacut because I walked out with the same exact hair style I went in with
Medium texture, normal porosity, normal elasticity

I do feel a difference- it is more even. Before I felt like I had an a-line bob cut with some other stuff hanging underneath it. Now I have more layers and more even volume instead of it being all around my jaw. I have yet to style it myself. She used Devacurl products on my, which made my hair less curly then it usually is with my own products.

I agree that the change wasn't dramatic, but I didn't ask for that- just integration of the different areas. She also worked on my growing out bangs some to help them flow into the side more.

For me, the real answer will be when I use my own products and also if I can really go 3-6 months between cuts???!!! That would be worth it right there.

Well I'm glad it worked out for you. I don't like using deva products myself. That's another reason I don't like the devacuts because they always shove them down my throat. The last lady did that even after I kept telling her I don't like them. Sure enough I didn't like it, again. It's my fault for not being assertive enough. I find they leave a coating on my hair and I really don't like the smells

I think it's fairly dramatically fuller. You could bring your own products I'm sure. My Deva cut was not dramatic either but it is still a subtle but significant difference in how it lays at every stage is the wash week. I love it.

Another deva stylist I used before this recent one let me bring my own products but this lady basically said that she only knew how to work with deva ones -__- I don't really think she knew what she was doing

Well that's a problem all the way around. It's not rocket science to use different products.
