Have you tried mousse? There are some thickening mousses out there.

Here's a suggestion that many won't agree with but I'm throwing it out anyway - feel free to totally disregard it. Thin hair can often be made to have more volume if it is colored. Something about the dye makes the hair feel thicker. However, it may not be good for your curls but if you are very unhappy with the thin aspect, you could try it and see if your hair still curls the way you want it to.

Good luck with this. I hope you get other good responses. Thinning hair is no joke - I know!
    2/c Coarse hair med. density.
    Highly porous. Color over grey.
I love all the Curl Junkie products. Still experimenting with gels and curl creams. Still hoping for 2nd day hair....
Every day is a gift :flower:

CurlySmiler have you had any checks to see if you have a health issue? *

From your post you sound like a teenager and if you haven't been to the doctor you need to go to check you don't have a vitamin/mineral or hormone problem.

Lots of teenage girls and women are iron deficiency and even though you may have thin hair naturally if you are young it shouldn't be so thin you can see your scalp. Your hair doesn't need to fall out in clumps to have this issue you may just notice it's very thin in places.

In regards to using products you can change them i.e. wash with a sulphate shampoo to clarify then condition with protein and use alcohol free-gel but until your health issue is fully resolved your hair condition won't improve significantly. Hair is the one organ that is effected first if you have a health issue.

I agree with Blueblood, if you have that much thinning hair and are a young age, I would definitely get checked out by a doctor.

These are rhetorical questions, you don't have to answer, just things to think about - What is your diet like, do you eat quality whole foods and plenty of protein? Do you take a multi vitamin at all? Are you on any medications that could cause this?
    2c-3a - med-coarse - normal-high porosity - high density
