Do I need a hair cut?

My hair is currently all one length and I've been thinking about getting a devacut to add some shape. I kind of think my hair currently looks like a helmet. I need a second opinion as I am a little nervous about scheduling an appointment. I don't want to spend $100+ on something I will regret....what do you guys think?

A cut is up to you. I would think the helmet look would be more attributed to your technique and/or products that you use. However, a fresh shape is always nice! I recommend the Deva cut, and in the long run it adds up to be cheaper than a regular cut. Just depends on what YOU want to achieve.

    Sixelamy,

Thank you for replying! I think you are right..I think it would be nice to get a fresh shape though. Do you have any hair cut ideas or know anywhere (website) where I can look for some ideas?

i love your curls! do a lot of research before going for a cut, look at the reviews, try to talk with others who have had cuts with that stylist, talk with stylist first..... if you see someone in the street with a great curly cut, stop and ask where she gets it cut.
there is a thread in this forum started by one of the members, tiffany (aka struttswife) who is a stylist and gives helpful info what to look for in a cut/stylist. it's called something like "what to ask my stylist" i think. do a search and with struttswife and what to look for and it should come up.

You can search the forums here for the picture threads. They will say pictures in the thread name. There's a couple in the general hair talk forum, and I think each of the 2, 3, and 4 have one or two as well. Or else you can just go to google images and search for short hair cuts. Also, if you go to the main Naturally Curly website, they have a place you can search people's pictures of your curl pattern. Since they changed the layout, not exactly sure how to get to it though.

    Hope this helps!
