Does this mean my hair is ok with protein?

I used a sachet of Palmers Coconut Deep Trestment. After rinsing I just left some leave in by Redken. This is how my hair has corkscrewed up...

It's quite soft and volumous..
Fine 3B/C curls.
Currently growing out damage caused by straightening and coloring.

You need a balance of moisture and protein however how often do you use protein?

If your curls perk up, and you're soft and not dry, the protein definitely did its job! I like to do protein and deep condition all in one for balance, works great. Have not had a problem yet, and I use significant protein everyday. However, I don't get a whole lot of protein in my diet.

I rarely use protein - the only time my hair gets protein is if I've inadvertently used it
