What's good Curly Talk people,

First post here and probably last if i get my answer.

My friends who have hardcore curls (African American) have started to tell me that i have curly hair and they have started to mention it everyday since i have started growing my hair out.

I'm 22 and i haven't ever grown my hair out as i always get a skin fade and normally keep my hair short.

I've been growing my hair out for about 9 months now since i went backpacking for 3 months and everyone keeps mentioning including family that my hair is curly but when i look in the mirror i don't see it...To me it is dead straight hair.

My friends have told me to enhance it and do something with it...What do they mean Lol

Sorry if i seem like a complete newbie to this, i don't really know the next steps to take if i can do anything with this hair type at all.

Yes, it's actually quite curly. Is that not the answer you wanted to hear? :)

I just saw one picture, but yes your hair is curly, about 3a in the picture I saw. I am shocked that you can't see you have curly hair. It's obvious.

The difference in peoples' perceptions of the same thing amazes me. One of my brothers has hair like yours, maybe slightly curlier, and he calls it wavy. He says that in public where others can hear him ;)
