My 6 year old has beautiful hair, I'm pretty sure it's 3c. I've noticed lately tho that it's getting more frizzed and flatter on the back of the head. I've just purchased satin pillowcases for her, but from all I'm reading I think I'm using the wrong products on her hair. Currently using Tresume extra moisture shampoo and conditioner. I wash and condition 2 to 3 times a week and use Perfect 10 leave in and argon oil spray afterwards. Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive sulfate and silicone free cleansing conditioner? I also use the Wet Brush because it doesn't hurt her head, but I'm not sure if that's damaging it now too. Please help as I loooove her hair and want to keep it as healthy and defined as possible.

I'd suggest doing a one time clarifying shampoo with J&J Baby Shampoo (some of the others aren't silicone free). Then wash her hair (scalp really) with either one of the Suave Naturals or VO5 Herbal Essences or Hair Milk conditioners, massaging her scalp thoroughly. Rinse all of that out, then apply more, to the length of the hair, allow it to sit for a minute or so, and detangle with your fingers, before rinsing her hair gently. Just blot her hair dry, preferably with a smooth surfaced towel. Then you can finger curl her hair, or just scrunch it to remind her curls to form, and let it dry naturally.
    Peace,
