I'm somewhere in the type 4 category. I wash with shampoo every 2 weeks and cowash once a week because I am a dance major and I sweat a lot. In the summer, however, I only shampooed only once a month and cowashed weekly and I never had issues with my hair being dirty.

I think more depends on your hair texture than your hair type. Mine is fine and lopo so I get buildup easily. I had been shampooing once a week but recently I found I can alternate weeks with clarifying conditioner and shampoo. I tried to go a month without shampoo snd it was a fail. My hair became very dry so I had to shampoo last night then dc.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:
