Yes to Carrots cowash

I used wen for a few weeks and it was pretty great for awhile.... until it put blisters on my scalp.
The menthol-free versions aren't available in Canada either :cussing:
I want to try cowashing. Has anyone used "yes to carrots" conditioners for this? Its the most natural silicone free conditioner at my drug store, but it's got behentrimonium chloride as the third ingredient, which is supposedly toxic/an irritant :confused4:
Any thoughts on this?

Natural is not always better for a cleansing product, they tend to be laden with oils and butters (so poor degreasers) or laden with plant extracts (unnecessary irritants/ allergens). Ultimately you want something rich in the major emollients - fatty alcohols and/ or cationic surfactants. These are the emulsifiers (mix oil and water) and often the same ones are used in commercial and 'natural' products. Commonly used products for co-washing include Suave Naturals, V05, Tresemme Naturals, Inecto.
CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond/ fractionated coconut oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
Experimenting with: benign neglect
