New CG and need some advice

Hello! I've read up on the CG method including the book and topics on this board. I am still a bit confused and hope to get some clarification!

1. From what I understand you use basically conditioner and massaging hour scalp to cleanse it instead of shampoo. You can use a sulfate and cone free shampoo occasionally but for the most part you will use conditioners. Is this correct?

2. I bought loreal ever sleek no sulfate shampoo for occasional cleanse
Loreal ever creme conditioner for deep conditioner
Suave naturals conditioner for co wash
La looks sport for gel
Aussie instant freeze for spray

Are these products completely cg friendly or am I being fooled by the label?

If I can get these questions answered I can be on my way. I'm excited to start this journey and enjoy my curls for once in my life! The photos I have seen on the net from blogs and videos have been very encouraging. Have you had similar fabulous results?

Welcome! Did you read the stickies on the newbies board and the general haircare board? Also check out the 'curl chemist' series of articles here on NC and Waterlily716 on YouTube.

You do not have to conditioner wash to follow Curly Girl method, you can use a super gentle sulphate free shampoo every wash instead. Those with certain scalp complaints, thin or fine hair or low porosity hair often seem to prefer shampooing, those with more porous, damaged or unruly hair might prefer co-washing. Some alternate.

You should be aiming to avoid more than just sulphates and silicones, ideally limit harsher anionic surfactants like the olefin sulfonates, also other ingredients than can build up: waxes including cetyl esters, butters, certain polyquats, mineral oil/ petrolatum. You don't specify which L'Oreal Ever- products you purchased, there is more than one shampoo and more than one conditioner in many of the lines. In general the Ever- shampoos are good for general cleansing but not suited to occasional clarifying/ removing build up as they contain too many conditioning type ingredients.
2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

I use Sauve clarifying shampoo once a month to clarify my scalp & remove build up. When I clarify, I deep condition & do a hot oil treatment.

Yes I read the boards but it is still a bit confusing. I want to make sure the products I have are correct before starting. I really feel lost and overwhelmed. I'm stationed in Europe with my husband and where we are has very limited choices for hair care. I have the following

Loreal Paris ever creme sulfate free system nourishing conditioner
Loreal Paris ever sleek sulfate free system smoothing shampoo
Suave naturals conditioner in ocean breeze
La looks sport gel - blue
Loreal Paris ever creme sulfate free system leave in conditioner spray
    Aussie instate freeze hair spray

From what I read and have seen from water lily and others these products are good drug store brands to use when going curly girl. Any input ? The la looks gel seems to be very popular

Drugstore.com lists the ingredients of your products or you can do a search on product reviews on this forum to find the ingredients.

I figured out my hair doesn't like glycerin in products.
Conditioner Wash: V05 Kiwi-Lime Clarifying Conditioner

Shampoo: Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Shampoo

    Rinse-Out and Leave-In Conditioner: V05 Vanilla-Mint Conditioner

Gel Styling Product: L.A. Looks Mega Mega Hold
