twistouts vs. flexirods

Is there a visible difference between hair set in flexirods or twistouts? I usually do twistouts on damp hair with moisturizer and gel, and am considering purchasing flexirods if the outcome is better or different.

With flexirods you get an actual spiral pattern. If your hair is wet & combed out w leave-in, the spirals will be silky-ish ringlets. If it's wet & not combed it will be fuzzy-ish, coils. If it's dry or damp, they'll come out in very loose, undefined spirals.

Twist outs are more zigzags or sqiggles or wave patterns.

Can't say which is best but they aren't the same.
