Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion

So I decided to buy come CJ products to try them out, since I've heard great things. I'd rather be as natural as I can get, but this stuff just did not work for me. At all. I wanted to like it so bad, and I used it for about a week or so. It made my curls fall flat. Can't blame it on buildup from other products, because I had done a low poo right before I started using this. I went back to my YTB leave in today and I have my curls back! I wonder what my hair doesn't like. The glycerin, and sunflower oils are fine. Not sure about the rest.

if you really can't get it to work, you can use it as a rinse out.

We have medium-high dew points right now here in the Chicago area. Wish I could blame it on that! It's the same flatness I got with the Shea Moisture products. I don't understand.
This doesn't not work for me as a good leave-in. I use the BEauticurls leave-in by CJ all the time; it's great. This one feels kinda waxy to me and makes my hair kinda sticky. WHAT IT DOES work as great is a refresher. I know when I go 2 or 3 or 4 days and want to reclump and smooth hair a bit and add moisture, I use this. It does add that stickier feel, but maybe that's why it works to refresh curls that are going haywire after sleeping on them. REally makes for reclumping. I like to carry some in a small jar in my purse for primping after working out or on windy days, etc.
But leave-in on wet hair: not so much.

YTB was super heavy and build up-y on my hair as a RO. I can't imagine it as a leave in. The YTB does have protein in it. So maybe your higher porosity and need the protein in your conditioners/stylers.
Fine, low porosity, high density, low/normal elasticity
