Mousse recommendations thin hair?

Hi
Really trying to stick at this going natural. Hair pretty short, unfortunately thinned out for pixie cut in early summer, growing it out now but some hair is maybe one and a half inches long some two and a half 2c/3a high porosity! Struggling with scalp showing. Trying various methods and combinations! One thing I haven't tried is mousse, wondering if that might help with volume? Could anyone recommend a CG mousse I could try available in the UK. I'm looking for shine and hold! Would like to avoid scrunching as much as possible as the really short layers just frizz with the slightest touch. Maybe I'm looking for the impossible!
Still experimenting!
Hair 2c+3a?

I think instead of using the mousse, you could just use some hair extensions like the Remy hair extensions that will solve your scalp showing problem.

The two mousses I use and like are Beyond the Zone Noodle Head from Sally Beauty Supply and AG Gel Mousse which is on the more expensive side. I can't recall if they are CG.
    2C/3A, fine, higher porosity.

I use an Alfaparf one (can't remember it's name and I'm at work so can't check). Used it a few years ago and stopped for some reason, decided to revisit it a few months ago and really like it as it's not heavy in my hair at all (though there is a firm version which is way too much for me) I don't know if it's available over there, it's hard to get hold of here - I have to get it online these days.

Thank you for replies. I'm hoping something like a mousse will help. Will check those out online, certainly the local shops don't appear to have anything suitable!

I love love love Ouidad's Playcurl volumizing foam. It's light and has great hold. It's a fancy name for mousse for thin hair.
