Night style help

I'm in the process of transitioning, very early stage...6 weeks in. I stopped using heat about a week ago and my current style is rollers. I have a haircut in the back and one side of my hair is cut short aka the meagan good haircut so I only put rollers on the longer side. Anyways, I don't know if during the weekends I should give it a break and especially at night on the weekends. I don't want to put too much stress on my hair and I've heard it's good to let your hair breathe so simply I wanted to know if I should give it a break during those times, try another low manipulation style on weekends or just continue with the rollers weekdays and weekends. Thanks.

I don't really understand your post.

Are you putting rollers in at night and sleeping with them?

If you are you are risking traction alopecia especially if you move around at night.

If you can upload a picture of your hair - you can blank out your face - people would be able to advise better.

ImageUploadedByCurlTalk1378224557.989017.jpg I put rollers in my hair at night so that my hair will be curly in the morning- preventing me from having to apply heat to my hair before school. Hence - ImageUploadedByCurlTalk1378224663.734344.jpg . If I were to stop using the rollers then I would have to convert to using heat in the morning which would not be healthy for my hair so.. yeah idk. Hopefully it's more understandable now.

I don't know what other protective non heat style that I could use for school and nighttime that would not damage my hair. Especially because of my haircut that I'm currently growing out

I two strand twist my hair at night. The go in the morning. On the weekend, I use organic root stimulator twist & loc gel. I put the gel on damp twists (I spritz my hair with a spray bottle), then put perm rods on the twists. The next day, I take down the perm rods & twists. My hair is nice & curly. No heat.

On Saturday nights to Sundays is when I let my hair breath by just letting it loos and co washing every weekend. Washing every 2-3 weeks. At night I wrap in a satin scarf and silk bonnet. During the week I wear buns or twist out. Really just hairstyles that don't involve me having to touch my hair daily.

My suggestion would be a set using perm rods. Depending on your hair and the product the curls may last all week.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:
