What is causing the buildup?

I am loving this Tresemme gel, but I confirmed that I can't fully remove it with just a cowash. Yesterday I cowashed and with 70+ dews had frizz and I just didn't like how my hair felt. Today I used my low poo and actually had to poo twice to get it all out. We are having 70+ dews again today, but the frizz is so much better, I have to assume that yesterday's frizz was due to buildup. What is in this product that is causing frizz? The copolymer and dimethicone are both water soluble.

Maybe you used too much. If you have really thick hair, it can be hard to get all product out if you use a lot. I'm not expert in cg, but I don't see anything that would build up.
