Can I Still Use This?

I accidentally got a lot of tap water in my mixture of Shea and Cocoa butter which was melted at the time so that it was easier to use. I use the mixture to seal the ends of my natural hair after moisturizing. Will the water affect the sealing capabilities of my Shea and cocoa mix or can I still use it?

I would add a preservative or store it in the refrigerator, you now basically have a cream which is at risk of microbial growth. Microbes don't grow well without water so straight up butters are not usually a problem.
