Ombré curls?

claudinetclaudinet Posts: 5Registered Users
I'm tempted to ombré my naturally curly hair but I'm afraid it won't look as good as it does on straight hair! I've never seen anyone else with my type of curls so it makes it hard to visualize the ombré. Does anyone have ombré hair? Post pictures? How do you like it?

Ombré on curls are pretty!! I had it. I recently just went red, so I don't have any pictures. Use a box dye w/o bleach for best results for no damage.

I actually think ombre looks better on curls and waves than it does on straight hair because the color looks more blended because of the natural curly shape of the hair. My curls aren't as tight as yours, but I can post a picture of how my hair looks with my ombre. From my experience though, I think the ombre would look really good on you!

My one suggestions would definitely be: Go to a professional! It's worth it--if you really want it save up the money to get it done by someone you know that can do a great job. You don't want to end up with a bad dye job or fried hair that you have to chop off--it's just not worth it.

First picture is with the salon blowout; the second/third are with my naturally wavy hair. With at least a little wave in my hair, the color looks better than when my hair is straight (though it still does look good straight thanks to my colorist).

If you look at it, ombre actually looks WAY better on curls, because it looks alot more blended and a more natural transition. I DIY-ed ombre on my 3b hair, and I had it for about 4 months and loved it(:

why I'm struggling to find pictures, I don't know..but I did love it, I say go for it! and do it at home to save lots of money, it's VERY easy..I used the kit, L'oreal Wild Ombre

I agree that it looks better on curls & waves!! Caz with straight hair it jus looks like you grew out your color.

Not to be rude, but that isn't as accurate when seeing how curly hair would look ombre. Those aren't natural curls, they're made with a wand or something else. Just wanted to point that out, even though the pics are really pretty(:

Ombre looks amazing on curls, even on tighter curls. Go on Instagram and look up ombrecurls you will find great inspiration
